Mukesh Ambani attended Hill Grange High School, Peddar Road, Mumbai, along with his brother and Anand Jain.
Later, he studied at St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, and earned a BE in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology.
He enrolled for an MBA at Stanford University (classmate: Steve Ballmer) but returned to India in 1980 to help his father grow Reliance.
His father believed in real-world experience over classroom learning.
